In a lecture being given at Medford Leas, located at One Medford leas Way, “Restoring the Peregrine Falcon to Pennsylvania,” community members can learn how Arthur McMorris has worked with the Pennsylvania Game Commission to re-establish a self-sustaining and secure population of falcons that are making one of the most remarkable recoveries of any endangered species anywhere. The event is being held on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Medford Leas Theater.

Although the Peregrine Falcon was removed from the United States endangered species list in 1999, the birds still have not yet recovered completely from once being nearly wiped out from North America east of the Rockies and south of the Arctic.

He is past president of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club and works with several other bird and conservation organizations.
