You’ll have a hoot running or strolling through the property of Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, located at 4 Sawmill Road, at the Third Annual Hoot, Waddle and Stroll 5K Trail Run and 1-Mile Stroll being held on Saturday, Sept. 24. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K will commence at 9 a.m. The 1-Mile stroll will begin at 9:15 a.m. and the award ceremony is being held at 10:30 a.m.

This fun-filled event supports the non-profit and is sanctioned by United States Track and Field. The beginner to intermediate trail run is family-friendly. The race takes place almost entirely within Cedar Run’s property, consisting of rugged single-track trails on a flat course with varied terrain and scenic views. Participants must maneuver through tree ruts, steps, bridges, and soft sand for a chance to win awards. Walkers can use a one-mile loop comprised of less rugged trails, suitable for strollers and young children.
