Season’s greetings! The December holidays are barreling toward us. During this time of dashing here and there, baking cookies and visiting friends and family, the Medford Library Association would like to thank our gold patrons, silver patrons and sponsors for their continuing support of the programing at the Pinelands Library. We would also like to acknowledge our wonderful staff that keeps the library functioning on a daily basis.

Paws to Read will be returning to the library twice in the coming days. Children can enrich their reading skills with therapy dog Brooke on Friday, Dec. 16 at 3:30 p.m. or during the holiday break on Friday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. with Ocho.Reading to dogs has been shown in increase literacy skills and confidence in children. Sign up for a 15-minute slot and see what it’s all about.

Family Movie Night is Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. This month’s presentation is “Kubo and the Two Strings”. A young boy named Kubo must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. Snuggle up with your family to watch his adventures. Feel free to bring snacks and a blanket.

Want to add a homemade feeling to this holiday season? On the Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. we will be offering Christmas card making with colored pencils. Learn how to make beautiful greeting cards with only pencils and markers. Materials will be provided.

The fourth and fifth grade Book Club will meet again on Monday, Dec. 13 at 4 p.m.
